Now before you curse me out hear me out and what I have to say. JJ Watt has been playing at a surreal level this year the 2nd year pro not only has 14.5 sacks (team record), but also has a number of deflected passes that just get in the head of the opposing Quarterback. After the Texans lost Cushing due to an ACL Injury in Week 5 against the Jets, a lot of people thought that the defense would take a huge step back. Why the passing defense has been a little shaky, Watt has been the one constant on the team that keeps making noise and causing double and even triple teams. Watt is the heart and soul of this defense especially since Cushing went down and has stepped his game and his teammates games around him up. Is it too farfetch'd to think that Watt may be the 1st defensive player to win the MVP since Lawrence Taylor did it back in 1986? We won't know until the NFL starts handing out awards, but Watt will have to continue to play at the level he's playing at or even better to be in consideration.
