First year starter Colin Kaepernick, continued to prove critics wrong last night as the 49ers defeated the Packers 45-31. He had two passing touchdowns which was complimented with two rushing touchdowns. Along with those touchdowns, Kaepernick shattered Michael Vick's 119 yards rushing yards in a playoff game for a total of 181 yards. In terms of passing Kaepernick was 263 yards passing on 17 out of 31 attempts. Aaron Rodgers of the Packers was 26 of 39 with a total of 257 yards passing. Michael Crabtree was the recipient of both touchdown passes from Kaepernick. Ever since Jim Harbaugh benched long time starter Alex Smith midseason in favor of Kaepernick there has been doubts regarding the lack of playoff experience on Kaepernick's end. His stellar performance from last night proved that he could perform well in playoff games. The San Francisco 49ers will travel to the Gerorgia Dome next sunday to play the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC championship game.
