For the first time in what seems like a lifetime, Rockets fans have a reason to feel excited and optimistic about not only this season, but the future ahead. With Bonafide superstar James Harden (right) and the sensation Jeremy Lin (left), the Rockets are not only putting themselves on the map, but the Rockets organization as well. Lets look at last season though. Harden was on the OKC Thunder and Lin was on the Knicks. Fast forward to now and these two have combined to create one of the best young backcourts in the NBA. It was a hard mesh at first. Lin was so used to having the ball in his hands and creating for himself and his teammates that when Harden came in, Lin struggled mightely. Now that Lin has seemed to settle down and figure out his role and the emergence of Chandler Parsons in the starting lineup, the Rockets seemed to be destined for great things ahead. The Rockets currently sit at the 8th seed and when asked about where Harden sees the team in the next couple of years he responded saying, "My 1st year in OKC we made the playoffs as an 8th seed then the next year we went further and the next year we went even further. I'm hoping we can do the same thing here." Big words from the leader of the youngest team in the NBA. The Rockets record as of today is 29-26 and the All Star break gives the team a much needed break since they lead the league in back to back games this season with 23. With OKC coming up right after the break the season doesn't get any easier for these Houston Rockets, but one thing is for sure the direction is headed up!
