With the trade deadline being on Thursday, Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak reiterates that Dwight Howard will be with the Lakers next season. With the disappointing season continuing for the Lakers there has been a plethora of rumors going on since the start of the 2012-13 season. Dwight Howard has been plagued with shoulder injuries throughout the season. Along with that inconvenience, he hasn't been playing to his full potential due to a recovering back surgery. Howard will be a free agent at the end of the season and there has been multiple speculations to where he will land next season. Instead of being a championship contending team, the Lakers still has yet to getting close to reaching expectations. With the injuries of Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill more pressure has been put on Howard due to the lack of big men. If he's going to be the future of the Lakers the pressure thats on him to perform well will be a good experience for the unofficially best big man in the NBA.
